Sample Prayers, Days 290-299
Gracious Heavenly Father, you are very kind and have chosen us, your followers, to carry on your magnificent work. Thank you for revealing yourself to us through the gospel. Now, we are like executors of your estate, your ministry. I pray we continue building your kingdom by serving others and telling them about your great works and the forgiveness you give through your Son. We know this is your will for us. We pray for the help of your Spirit to comfort and provide us with the courage to bear any trial or persecution. Please provide the physical resources we need for life and ministry. We also pray that you would convict us of any sins so that we can confess them. We want nothing such as pride, unforgiveness, or greed to hinder your Spirit’s work in our life and ministry. May we do everything to praise your glory. Through Jesus’ name, I pray. Amen.
Dear Heavenly Father, you are the God of peace. You are right in all your ways, and we praise you! We pray we do nothing to keep others from coming into your kingdom or sullying your reputation by our words or actions when someone offends us. Lord, we know it’s your will that we live peaceably with all people, as much as possible. Therefore, we pray you will help us control our spirits and choose a peaceful path before fighting for our rights. We pray your Spirit within us will convict us of any wrong in this area, especially toward children. We pray you will make our hearts tender toward children and encourage them in good things.
We pray you will meet the physical and spiritual needs that might hinder us from doing what’s right. We pray that when we offend others, we would be quick to apologize, and when they offend us, we would be quick to forgive, not holding their sins against them. We pray we would do these things for your kingdom and glory and in the name of your Son Jesus. Amen.
Dear Father in heaven, although you are high and lifted up and worthy of all praise, you listen to our prayers. You are so gracious. Give me a heart of compassion, justice, and forgiveness like yours. May your kingdom come and may you fulfill all the prophecies for your people and the world to show them that you are God and keep your promises.
Please provide our physical, emotional, and spiritual needs and remind us to pray as you have taught. Life isn’t about me; its about you and your agenda. Help me get on board with that. Forgive me for my selfishness and help me to forgive others for theirs . Lead me away from the temptations to stray and ruin my life. Protect me from the vices of the devil. In Jesus name I pray, Amen.
Dear Father in heaven, great and marvelous is your name. You planned and provided our redemption through your Son. Thank you for sending Jesus to die for our sins and offer us salvation. You are most gracious. Thank you that we only need to have faith in his sacrifice on our behalf to receive it. We pray we would share our stories of how you provide so that others may believe in Jesus for everlasting life. We pray you will accomplish your will in our lives. Also, please provide for our spiritual, emotional, and physical needs so we can share what you are doing with other Christians and as a testimony to a lost world. Please have your Spirit convict us of any sin so we can ask for forgiveness. Help us to forgive people who have hurt us. We want joy and love to radiate from our hearts so others may be attracted to you. In the name of your incredible Son, Jesus, amen.
Dear Father in heaven, you are the author of all truth. By your grace, you provide the way to truth, righteousness, and everlasting life when we believe in Christ’s sacrifice for us on the cross. You take away our spiritual blindness. Our hope is in you. May your kingdom come, and help us bring others into it, for it’s your wish that no one perishes but all come to repentance. Please provide our daily needs and be the one we depend on. Forgive our pride and other sins, and help us forgive others who sin against us. Lead us away from blind pride and self-reliance. May we always live for your glory and pleasure in Jesus’ name, I pray. Amen.
Our Dear Heavenly Father, we worship you because of your grace and mercy. You saved us although we aren't worthy of saving. May we share your gracious message with others so they, too, can enter your kingdom. Thank you for the coming rewards, and may we trust you and be faithful to receive them.
We pray for forgiveness for our pride. For our daily bread, we pray you will meet our physical and emotional needs, and our need to walk in humility.
Help us to be gracious to forgive others. Lead us away from the temptation to make others earn our forgiveness. Help us to obey your Spirit and offer restoration to those who are truly repentant. Freely we have been given grace, so we pray to freely give it to others. In the name of your Son, Jesus, I pray. Amen.
Dear LORD, you are the God above and worthy of all our trust. You have blessed us for trusting in you, and now we’re a part of your kingdom. May we experience your perfect will as we obey your Word and your leading. Please provide for our needs, whether that be housing or a job or just peace. May we help others to believe when they observe our trust in you. Forgive us for the times we failed to believe, and help us to forgive others who might mock our beliefs. Help us remember to pray for them. Lead us away from pride and instead be a servant. In Jesus’ name. Amen.
