Sample Prayers, Days 310-319
Dear Father, you are gracious and beyond patient. Thank you for letting your Son endure the humiliation, false accusations, and suffering in his court trials--all part of our soon-coming redemption. You could have stepped in, and we would all be lost. Help me keep that in mind when witnessing to others—my suffering may serve a similar purpose—to bring others into your kingdom. So, your will be done, LORD.
Meet our needs that our enemies will not have a charge against you, our God. Give us daily courage and grace to bear with mistreatment because of our faith. Give us the daily bread of restraint from revenge and endurance for the cause of Christ. Please forgive any thoughts or plans of getting back at them, and if they turn to you, I pray not to keep a record of their sins and hold it against them. Lead me not into the temptation of pride but to walk in humility and dependence on your Spirit. In Jesus’ name, Amen
Dear Father in heaven, we worship you! You are a good God, faithful and true. You have all power, wisdom, and grace. Even if we suffer, you are right beside us.
Sometimes, as in the case of Jesus, we must go through tough times so that many or a few people are saved. Please give us the daily courage, tenacity, and perspective we need to meet these challenges.
May we not give in to the temptation of quitting because of persecution. May we forgive others who hurt us and receive their forgiveness. May all things be done for your glory and praise. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
Holy and Righteous Father, we love and adore you for sending us your Son to die in our place, and that by trusting in his sacrifice for us, we can have eternal life. May we constantly share this good news with others so more will come into your kingdom. Thank you for your Spirit drawing us to Christ, breathing spiritual life into us, and sealing our salvation to the end.
Give us the courage to share this gospel with others, and please meet other daily needs for your sake and glory.
Help us to forgive others who hurt us because Christ provided forgiveness for us on the cross. Please keep reminding us of these things so we are not deceived in any way that we deserve it or can go to heaven by our works.
To you belongs the kingdom, the power, and all the glory. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
Dear Father, thank you that you are holy, all-powerful, and understand everything. May your name be praised. Because the world is full of violence, I pray your kingdom will come soon, and you take us to heaven. Nevertheless, I pray that now and in the end days of the earth, many men, women, and children will also receive your mercy, grace, and salvation. Please give us a lot of courage and help in talking with them about this. Please also meet the rest of our needs so we may tell others what a good caring God you are. Forgive me of any sin and selfishness and anytime I might have said or done something morally wrong. To you, God belongs the kingdom, power, and glory forever, Amen
Dear Father in heaven, thank you that Jesus rose from the dead to give us new life and hope. I pray we may share this hope to build your kingdom. I pray that your Spirit will help us. Thank you for sending him to be our comfort and power for doing your will. I ask your will to be done; use us Christ-followers to share your saving grace with the world.
Please provide our physical and spiritual needs so we might have an effective witness of your grace and salvation. Forgive us for staying quiet when your spirit prompts us to share. I also pray that we would be ready to forgive others and receive forgiveness so that our testimonies will be genuine. Please lead us away from temptations that would ruin the good work you are doing in our lives. May all we do be for your glory and praise. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
Dear Father in heaven, your mercy and grace are amazing. You offer the gift of salvation to everyone, every language, every people. If we accept this gift, you send the Holy Spirit to indwell us. Praise to your holy name!
Please help us remember the excitement of our spiritual birth and tell others so they might also be spiritually born and accepted into your kingdom. We want to identify with you by being baptized and being committed to fulfilling your will.
Please meet our daily needs and forgive our sins. Help us in extending forgiveness to others. Lead us not into complacency and selfishness but to live in the joy of your Spirit as we obey you and serve others. In the name of your dear Son, I pray. Amen
My prayer response: Dear Father in heaven, you are holy and righteous, and your name is above all names in power, honor, wisdom, and grace. Praise to you, our most precious Lord and Savior. May your kingdom come and restore righteousness on the earth. Until then, I pray your Spirit will use our witness to save many and fill heaven. Please give me strength and health this day to do what you have called me to do. Forgive my sins. Daily, I need your spiritual cleansing for my selfishness and anything else unclean. Help me to also exercise mercy and grace toward others who may have hurt me. Lead me away from self-righteousness, pride, and the influence of the devil. Dear Father, may your name be praised forever. Amen
Lord and Father, we praise you for your holiness, wisdom, and righteousness. You promised to be with us through our trials. When they come, I know you want us to seek you first. I pray we will do this and deal with them according to the wisdom found in your Word.
Please provide for our physical and emotional needs to handle opposition, and may this be a testimony to draw others to your kingdom.
Forgive us for the many times we have failed to consult you before acting or neglecting to respond appropriately to challenges. Help us to forgive others who hurt us.
Last, forgive us for our pride. It is tempting to handle opposition ourselves, in our own way, without consulting your Word and the feelings of others. Please lead us away from that temptation.
May your name be held in the highest respect by our obedience, humility, and trust in you. In Jesus’ name. Amen
Dear Wonderful Heavenly Father, you are amazingly kind. Not only do you withhold punishment from people who turn from their sins, but you are gracious. No matter who we are, what we have done, our race, or our color, all who look to you alone for salvation receive it. Praise your name! May we share this message with all people so they might also come into your kingdom. We know this is your desire, and you don’t want anyone left out of heaven to perish in hell. May we be concerned enough to share the good news of Jesus Christ with them. Let this desire be our daily bread, today. Thank you for taking good care of us. We know we can count on you.
Dear Lord, forgive us for any of our sins that hinder our relationship with you and others. I pray for a change of heart, mind, and actions, and that we would forgive the wrongs done against us. May you receive all the praise, honor, and glory today. In Jesus’ name, I pray. Amen.
