April 30 Ark of the Covenant
Ark of the Covenant (an artists’ rendition)

This is the Ark of the Covenant in the Holy of Holies of the tabernacle. This ark was a gold covered chest that contained the Ten Commandments, Aaron's rod and a jar of manna. On the top are Cherubim (angels) whose wings overshadow the ark. This is one artist's conception. We do not know exactly what Cherubim looked like.
