Numbers 1:1-3; Romans 8:6; 2Timothy 3:16-17; Numbers 10:1-9,10; Ephesians 6:10-18
Numbers 1:1-3
Nu 1:1 The LORD spoke to Moses in the Tent of Meeting in the Desert of Sinai on the first day of the second month of the second year after the Israelites came out of Egypt. He said:
2 "Take a census of the whole Israelite community by their clans and families, listing every man by name, one by one.
3 You and Aaron are to number by their divisions all the men in Israel twenty years old or more who are able to serve in the army. (NIV)
Romans 8:6
Ro 8:6 The mind of sinful man is death, but the mind controlled by the Spirit is life and peace, (NIV)
2Timothy 3:16-17
2Ti 3:16 All Scripture is God-breathed and is useful for teaching, rebuking, correcting and training in righteousness,
17 so that the man of God may be thoroughly equipped for every good work. (NIV)
Numbers 10:1-9,10
Nu 10:1 The LORD said to Moses:
2 "Make two trumpets of hammered silver, and use them for calling the community together and for having the camps set out.
3 When both are sounded, the whole community is to assemble before you at the entrance to the Tent of Meeting.
4 If only one is sounded, the leaders-- the heads of the clans of Israel-- are to assemble before you.
5 When a trumpet blast is sounded, the tribes camping on the east are to set out.
6 At the sounding of a second blast, the camps on the south are to set out. The blast will be the signal for setting out.
7 To gather the assembly, blow the trumpets, but not with the same signal.
8 "The sons of Aaron, the priests, are to blow the trumpets. This is to be a lasting ordinance for you and the generations to come.
9 When you go into battle in your own land against an enemy who is oppressing you, sound a blast on the trumpets. Then you will be remembered by the LORD your God and rescued from your enemies.
10 Also at your times of rejoicing-- your appointed feasts and New Moon festivals-- you are to sound the trumpets over your burnt offerings and fellowship offerings, and they will be a memorial for you before your God. I am the LORD your God." (NIV)
Ephesians 6:10-18
Eph 6:10 Finally, be strong in the Lord and in his mighty power.
11 Put on the full armor of God so that you can take your stand against the devil's schemes.
12 For our struggle is not against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the powers of this dark world and against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly realms.
13 Therefore put on the full armor of God, so that when the day of evil comes, you may be able to stand your ground, and after you have done everything, to stand.
14 Stand firm then, with the belt of truth buckled around your waist, with the breastplate of righteousness in place,
15 and with your feet fitted with the readiness that comes from the gospel of peace.
16 In addition to all this, take up the shield of faith, with which you can extinguish all the flaming arrows of the evil one.
17 Take the helmet of salvation and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God.
18 And pray in the Spirit on all occasions with all kinds of prayers and requests. With this in mind, be alert and always keep on praying for all the saints. (NIV)
