Psalm 118 References
Psalm 118 has some verses mentioned in other places of the Scriptures and for different times.
Psalm 118:6 The LORD is with me; I will not be afraid. What can man do to me? (NIV) [Ps 27:1; 56:4,9,11; 146:5; Isa 51:12; Heb 13:6]
Psalm 118:20 This is the gate of the LORD through which the righteous may enter. (NIV) [Ps 24:7; Isa 35:8; Re 21:27; 22:14-15]
Psalm 118:22-23 The stone the builders rejected has become the capstone; the LORD has done this, and it is marvelous in our eyes. (NIV) [Mt 21:42; Mr 12:10; Lu 20:17; Ac 4:11; Eph 2:20; 1Pe 2:4,7-8]
Some verses in Psalm 118 refer to the ministry of Jesus Christ—the time when Jesus rides into Jerusalem on the back of a donkey as the people scatter palm branches before him and proclaim h im king. We celebrate this time as Palm Sunday.
Psalm 118:26 Blessed is he who comes in the name of the LORD. From the house of the LORD we bless you. (NIV) [Zec 4:7; Mt 21:9; 23:39; Mr 11:9; Lu 13:35; 19:38]
Psalm 118:27 The LORD is God, and he has made his light shine upon us. With boughs in hand, join in the festal procession up to the horns of the altar. (NIV)
